Titanium Gear Pump Overview

What is a titanium gear pump?

Titanium gear pumps, which are used for a fixed amount of discharge of acid liquids that cause corrosion, are one of the key parts used throughout the chemical and textile industrial processes.
Titanium gear pumps made of nonmagnetic and non-heat treated materials require high precision processing when being produced.
Titanium gear pumps are made to order as a special pump.

Mechanism of a gear pump

  • Inlet (green): Flowing into the grooves of a gear
  • Outlet (red): Flowing out through the grooves of a gear

Operation of a gear pump

  1. Liquid flows into the inlet of the pump
  2. Liquid fills the grooves, casing, front, and back of the gear
  3. Liquid moves to the outlet along the internal circumference of the gear casing
  4. Amount of discharge of a displacement metering pump is proportional to the capacity and rotational speed of the pump
