What is a UV gear pump?
Because the solid content of UV paints exceeds 95%, if a general precision gear pump is used, the pump must be fixed and its service life reduced due to the rotational frictional heat.
We applied components that prevent UV paint hardening and bearings to its design to prevent internal fixing and reduced service life due to pump rotation.
Hojin Technology’s patented UV precision gear pump enables a fixed amount of discharge of UV paints with over 95% solid content.
Mechanism of a gear pump
- Inlet (green): Flowing into the grooves of a gear
- Outlet (red): Flowing out through the grooves of a gear
Operation of a gear pump
- Liquid flows into the inlet of the pump
- Liquid fills the grooves, casing, front, and back of the gear
- Liquid moves to the outlet along the internal circumference of the gear casing
- Amount of discharge of a displacement metering pump is proportional to the capacity and rotational speed of the pump
